The countdown is on!!

How two became three.......

Five years ago on a cool February night, I was up to elbows in dust cleaning the garage when a phone call came that stopped my heart and changed our lives forever. After small talk, our social worker informed us that a three month old little boy was awaiting the connection of his "Forever Family". After 5 long months that little boy was escorted from his birthland of Taejon Korea to Minneapolis and Luca was placed in our arms and hearts forever.

Room for one more, let's make it four......

The last 18 months we have been once again waiting for one of those amazing phones calls and have had a few hopeful situations until last fall when Luca approached us and said that he would really like to have a "baby with a tan" because of the beauty he sees in his two cousins adopted from Guatemala. So, we did some self/country evaluating and are "patiently" waiting as our African Angel gets matched with the Engen's to make our home and hearts complete. We are optimistic that we will have her picture by June and I will travel, along with my mom, to Ethiopia for a week to bring her home.
